This year’s Strawberry Tea, held on the beautiful grounds of the Memory Lane Day Centre, was a huge success. We are delighted to share that the event raised an impressive total of £800, and it was a truly heartwarming day filled with community spirit, laughter, and plenty of cake.
A special thank you goes to our generous sponsor, Radfield Ilkley Home Care, whose support made this event possible. We are especially grateful to Matthew and Nathan, who not only sponsored the event but also rolled up their sleeves to help on the day with the tombola, raffle, and cake sale stands. Their contribution meant that this year we were able to purchase all of our food and catering supplies in advance, which made the whole event run much more smoothly.
Guests enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of live entertainment. The talented Emma returned once again with her beautiful singing and dancing, delighting everyone with a performance that has become one of the highlights of our annual celebration. Her energy and warmth brought smiles to every face.
We were also treated to a heartfelt speech from Amanda and Amy, who spoke on behalf of everyone involved in organising the event. Their kind words and gratitude perfectly summed up the team effort that made the day so memorable.
A big thank you as well to Just Desserts Shipley, who joined us in person. We were thrilled to thank them publicly for their generous help in restoring our garden area. Their hard work has transformed the space into a place we can all enjoy throughout the year.
The Strawberry Tea has always been more than just a fundraiser. It is a celebration of friendship, community, and the joy of coming together to support a good cause. We are so grateful to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, or simply came along to share in the fun.
We are already looking forward to next year’s event and hope to make it even bigger and better. Thank you once again to all who made this year’s Strawberry Tea such a special day.
